Job Description: 
The Senator Gregory Luna Scholars and Fellows Program is a unique opportunity for students to learn how the Texas Legislature operates and how policies are created while working side by side experienced professionals. Each student is assigned to the office of a State Senator to perform a variety of legislative tasks, including legislative research summaries, bill tracking, and constituent correspondence. The SHRC is committed to enhancing the advancement of educational, professional and leadership opportunities for promising students. This Scholars and Fellows program provides invaluable experience for budding leaders and can guide students on their professional career paths. Details: The Luna Scholars Program will begin on January 6, 2021 and ends on May 31, 2021. The traditional in-person format of the 2021 Luna Scholar Program is subject to change to a remote or virtual program in response to state and local public health guidance. Luna Scholar Program finalists will receive detailed instructions regarding participation requirements as details are confirmed.
