89th Tx Legislature Part-Time Internship

State Representative-Elect Trey Wharton (HD 12) is seeking a part-time, unpaid intern for the upcoming legislative session. Applicants must be highly motivated, friendly, and team-oriented. Start date: Tuesday, January 14, 2025 End date: Monday, June 2, 2025 May be eligible for class credit. Duties to include: -Answer calls and greet all visitors -Meet with various groups, lobbyists, and stakeholders who enter Capitol office without an appointment, and brief Legislative Director and/or Chief of Staff on pertinent information received -Utilizes in-house applications -Check, organize, and process Capitol office mail -Assist Legislative Director with research -Deliver inter-agency documents as needed -Assume responsibility for appearance of Capitol office
