Job Description: 
The Capitol Office of State Senator Dawn Buckingham M.D. is currently seeking passionate, hardworking applicants interested in the legislative process for the 87th Special Session. Qualified candidates should expect to work at least 15 hours per week. The Legislative Intern will work directly with the legislative staff to implement the Senator's legislative agenda, assist with communication outreach, and contribute to other Capitol Office functions as assigned. JOB FUNCTIONS: Work involves policy research, responding to constituent inquiries, attending legislative briefings, and general office duties. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Strong written and oral communication skills, thoroughness and careful attention to detail, familiarity with local and state departments, and the ability to work well with others.
