INTERNSHIP DATES
Jan 22, 2024 to Apr 26, 2024 (Spring Semester)
HOURS & LOCATION
● 15-20 hours per week | $14 per hour
● 300 Colorado St. Suite #2300 Austin, TX 78701
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
● Assist in content creation and graphic design
● Draft content for a variety of communications materials
● Assist with social media channel monitoring
● Help manage social media pages including scheduling content
● Research topics for content development, clients, new projects, etc.
● Assist with client serving and project management
● Copywriting and editing
● Help build coalitions for issue advocacy clients
● Assist with database management and other advocacy tools
● Outreach to potential allies for engagement on client issues
● Assist MWCAdvocacy in timely matters that arise
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Interest in digital media and communications
● Excellent written and verbal communication
● Creativity and passion with the ability to work alone and on a team
● Openness to learning and taking on new challenges
● Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva
