In a new Second Reading Podcast, Jim Henson talks with Gromer Jeffers, Jr., longtime political writer for the Dallas Morning News, about the 2022 primary race. Using a recent article by Jeffers on the state of the GOP primary race to be Attorney General as a point of departure, they discuss incumbent Ken Paxton's position and the dynamics of that race. The discussion also turns to primary campaigns for legislative and congressional seats in North Texas, including the subject of another Jeffers' article on the Democratic primary race for HD 114, the seat unexpectedly vacated by departing member John Turner.
